1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
SEEMINGLY, the word "sorry" is not enough and for that, methinks P-Noy hould not let the official behind the "wine sucks" and "walang pogi dito" tweets from Vietnam go unpunished.
Simply put, whenever us Filipinos go visit friends and relatives to town fiestas or whatever the occasion may be, it is but a big no-no to drop unkind words within earshot of hosts as "walang kwenta and pagkain nila" or sociably, "the food sucks," or any of the same kind.
That's plain and simple act unbecoming or grossly being unkind to hosts.
The solution to "sucking situations" is just to keep silent so as not to embarrass our hosts. Or better yet, go to the nearest "turo-turo" and eat your heart out of your favorite adobo or whatever and then go back in and say "ohhh...nice food/wine thank you."
Another solution is, slap the blunderer with a punitive measure fit for a blundering public official on foreign land so as to remind him/her of his/her misdeed.
Send in your bets for they will let this pass anew.
Sound check: Presidential Communications Office for Strategic Planning and Development (PCOSPD) head Ricky Carandang is now calling the tweets made by Mai Mislang as a closed book.
But this should not be the case as the comments made by the PCOSPD Assistant Secretary has tarnished the image of no less than the President. (Or, maybe they are slowly getting used to it?)
Now, people are criticizing Noynoy for appointing people like Mislang, who, cluelessly has destroyed the image of the young administration in international stage.
Mislang should know that she is now a public official and should act with dignity and respect as she carries the image of the President with her anywhere she goes.
If Mislang, or any official of the Aquino Cabinet, do not know how to behave themselves, especially during international forum where the Philippines is being highlighted, then they should not be included in the delegation or should be removed from office outright.
The Filipino people do not need officials like Mislang who put the country in bad light.
1st-APLUMA public service
The Unang Alyansang Pag-asa ng Lahi at Uring Mamamahayag-Manggagawa (1st-APLUMA), which I head, is appealing to all kind-hearted individuals to help a grandmother who has stage 3 cervical carcinoma.
Liberty Cariaga, 67 needs to complete six chemotherapy sessions at the Philippine General Hospital amounting to P60,000 per session.
Donations and other help can be coursed through Liberty’s daughter-in-law Jovelyn, who can be reached at 0906-6496539. Her account number with Philippine National Bank (Las Piñas branch) is 421117900012.
Also, 1ST-APLUMA announced that it can serve as conduit to government, private agencies and private individuals that are providing free medical help to the poor.
With the help of our friends from media and some government agencies, we can help seek help for those who are in need of medical assistance.
Those who have medical problems can log-on to 1st-APLUMA’s website (http://1st-apluma.yolasite.com and give all the details through its Public Serbilis section.
