He has all the reason to do so because some of the youth he called as "future of the nation" are turning into criminals, no thanks to the Juvenile Justice System Act of 2006.
Criminals are getting younger and younger by the day since the law that exempts minors 15-years old and younger from criminal liability, and allows punishment for those 15 to 18 if proven they acted “wit... Continue reading ...

Desperate move?
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT MANY people see President Aquino's visit to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and a provincial bus station in Cubao, Quezon City during the Holy Week break as a desperate move to prop up his approval rating. Shelve VAT on oil, now!
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
ONCE and for all, President Aquino should stop talking about Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez and the impeachment case she is facing. Step in the right direction
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
THE firing of a ranking official of the Office Ombudsman could be considered as a step in right direction for the Aquino administration's mission to eradicate corruption in government, especially now that the popularity of President Aquino is sagging.
The removal of Deputy Ombudsman Emilio Gonzales III for gross neglect of duty for alleged mishandling the case of Inspector Rolando Mendoza, who held hostage and killed eight Chinese tourists last year ... Continue reading ...

Law of Physics now catching up on P-Noy
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
NOW that his approval rating is slowly dipping like a thermometer in cold weather, President Aquino should now be very careful in everything he says and do. Noynoy’s 51 percent net approval rating, 13 points lower than the last Social Weather Stations survey, was a result of his purchase of a luxury sports car which didn’t sit well with the public. When Asked on Aquino’s purchase of a sleek Porsche late last year, nearly half or 48 percent of ... Continue reading ...

Guingona’s impartiality in question
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
WHAT'S the reason behind Sen. Teofisto Guingona's refusal to set aside his Blue Ribbon Committee's recommendation to impeach Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez? Is he merely trying to live up to his “Galit sa Buwaya” political slogan that he used to catapult himself to victory in the 2010 elections? For me, this should not be the case. Sen. Guingona should be aware that his impartiality, and also of other senators who signed the committee report, wo... Continue reading ...

Daunting task for lawmakers
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT FROM THE looks of it, the impeachment complaint against Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez is headed to the Senate for trial.
President Aquino's alleged marching order to his Liberal Party allies to impeach Gutierrez has driven the final nail in Gutierrez' coffin, so to speak.
Malacanang strongly believes that Gutierrez is a big stumbling block in P-Noy's campaign against graft and corruption, mainly due to the Ombudsman's failure to prosecute personal... Continue reading ...

Yes, we could have been better off than Singapore!
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
ONCE is enough, twice is too much.
President Aquino may have spoken too much when he took another potshot at Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., who earlier the Philippines could have been another Singapore had not for the EDSA People Power 1 that ousted his father and namesake.
Recently, P-Noy said that were it not for EDSA, the Philippines probably could have become another Libya.
While his statement may be true, many are now thinking that P-Noy... Continue reading ...

Wanna change? Try Juana Change!
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT WANNA change? Oil companies circumventing law?
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) should intensify its campaign against oil smugglers who are depriving the government millions of pesos in taxes and duties.
The Customs has scored a small victory over certain oil smugglers when it foiled the attempt to bring out P60 million worth of bunker fuel at the Manila North Harbor last week.

Are we going to the dogs?
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT
IS the country going to the dogs? Considering the present situation, the answer anyone would give will be in the affirmative. Why not? Media killings continue, grisly murders abound, a suspected terrorist bombing activity on a bus along EDSA, unsolved crimes and rampant carnapping all around. Not to mention political accommodations, Kamag-Anak Inc., and Kaibigan/Kaklase Inc., a seemingly uncaring leadership, save for fast cars and sexy chicks. Do ... Continue reading ...

Sound economy good crime deterrent
BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT IT’s a good thing that President Aquino did not join the bandwagon calling for the revival of the death penalty for heinous crimes, after the gruesome deaths of two car dealers. BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT FILIPINOS are divided on the issue regarding President Aquino's purchase of a third-hand Porsche sports car (or as a car magazine describes as "supercar") worth P4.5 million.
Take note, third-hand car for P4.5M? Isn't it grand?
Some say there's nothing wrong with P-Noy buying it especially with his own money while others say the action leaves a bad taste in the mouth at this time when more than 4.5 million Filipinos are starving.

BY ISMAEL AMIGO, 1ST-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENTBETTER late than never? I don't think so. I'm referring to the decision of concerned government agencies to impose stricter requirements for bus drivers, some of whom are wreaking havoc on main thoroughfares like their personal playground. This is another case of knee-jerk reaction of government officials who just lie and wait for another life to be sacrificed before reacting instead of acting early to prevent disasters. Also, the revamp will make room (or should I say payback), for some Aquino allies who served him well during the campaign period. Ehem..., excuse me po! Meanwhile, members of the Libera... Of official ‘kapalpakans’ and condonation
BY ISMAEL AMIGO 1st-APLUMA NATIONAL PRESIDENT FROM one kapalpakan to another kapalpakan and yet again to another kapalpakan to another kapalpakan. Whew! We pity P-Noy.
